Crunchy Strawberry Tartlets

Today I went to Malin’s school and we made these sweet little Tartlets with her and her friends from KGC at WAB in Learning Kitchen. Ok, it almost looked liked the example 🙂 Just go with the flow……

 

INGREDIENTS

250g white couverture

2 tablespoon cream

220g cream

1 package vanilla sugar

100g cornflakes

100g almond flakes

750g strawberries

 

Decoration

12 strawberries

70g white chocolate

 

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Prepare 12 small parchment paper for tartlets (in a tartlet mold or on a plate).

 

Melt the couverture in a water bath, by using a small bowl in pot with hot water. Add 2 tablespoon of cream to the couverture and be careful that no water is getting into the bowl.

 

Stir in the cornflakes and almond flakes. Spread evenly onto the small parchment paper and make it flat. Keep the base chilled until it is hardened.

 

Beat the cream with vanilla sugar until stiff. Spread part of it onto the base. Or use prepared custard cream instead!

 

Wash and clean the strawberries. Cut them in slices and spread them on top of the cream. Cover the strawberries with the other part of the cream.

 

 

Decorating

Melt the white chocolate like the couverture before and dip the tip of the whole strawberry in it. Place it on the finished tartlet.
